Ford Protect Extended Service Plans

So, what is included in an extended service contract? There are four plans to choose from, with each increasing in price and offering more coverage for your new Ford vehicle.

 

    • PowertrainCARE: 29 components of your Ford are covered within the engine, transmission, RWD, and FWD. While some components within these systems are not covered, all of the major ones are. For example, the radiator is not covered for the engine, and bearings are not covered with the RWD and FWD.
  • BaseCARE: This bumps you up to 84 covered components, which includes the same components as the PowertrainCARE plan, as well as steering, brakes, front suspension, A/C and heating, and electrical components. Again, certain aspects are not covered, such as the anti-lock brake module. 
  • ExtraCARE: Get 113 covered components, which includes everything listed in the above plans, with the addition of coverage for your tech and convenience features. This coverage is great because it accounts for all the essentials, such as keyless entry and power window motors. However, it doesn’t cover more advanced technologies like Ford SYNC® or rain-sensing wipers.
  • PremiumCARE: Covers over 1,000 components of your Ford. So, what’s not covered in the other three plans gets covered here. This plan provides additional peace of mind during your Council Bluffs, IA commute.

Premium Maintenance from Ford Protect provides coverage for spark plugs, engine belts, oil changes and filter replacements, multi-point inspections, tire inspections/rotations, and wear and tear on general consumables. Beyond this, you can get inspections and care for many of your fluids, systems, and components to ensure a smooth and safe ride on Fremont, NE roads.
