New Ford Cars to Know About

Ford is making a commitment to sustainability, and this is evident it many of its latest vehicles. Here we profile three new Ford cars, all of which are eco-friendly.
Ford F-150 Lightning
If there’s one truck that’s gotten a ton of buzz (pun intended) lately, it’s the Ford F-150 Lightning. This pickup comes with two electric motors and a 98-kWh lithium-ion battery pack that combine to produce 452 horsepower and 775 lb-ft of torque. It also has a driving range of 230 miles.
The other powertrain option consists of two electric motors and a 131-kWh lithium-ion battery that generates 580 horsepower and 775 lb-ft of torque. This version has a driving range of 320 miles. A Level 3 charging station will get either battery up to 80 percent in less than 45 minutes.
Ford Maverick
The hybrid Ford Maverick comes with a 2.5-liter, four-cylinder engine and a 94-kW battery pack that combine to put out 191 horsepower and 155 lb-ft of torque. The other engine option is a turbocharged 2.0-liter version that offers 250 horsepower and 277 lb-ft of torque.
With the base engine and standard front-wheel drive, this truck will give you 40 MPG in the city and 33 MPG on the highway, which are exceptional numbers for the compact pickup class.
Ford Mustang Mach-E
This all-electric SUV comes with a motor and a 70-kWh battery that will give you 266 horsepower and a 230-mile driving range. You can also go with a two-motor setup and a 91-kWh battery, which offer 480 horsepower and a 270-mile driving range.
With a 240-volt charger, you can add 20 to 30 miles of driving range to your Ford Mustang Mach-E per hour. With a public DC Fast Charging station, up to 60 miles of range can be added in only 10 minutes.
