The Upcoming 2023 Ford F-150 Raptor R

While the Ford F-150 has been the top pickup for decades, Ford isn’t one to rest on its laurels. You’ve probably heard about the electrified Ford F-150 Lightning, and there’s another new truck that will be out soon. Here’s what we know so far about the Ford F-150 Raptor R.

Incredible Power

The base Ford F-150 Raptor is certainly no slouch in the power department, as it comes with a twin-turbo 3.5-liter V6 that produces 450 horses and 510 lb-ft of torque. The Ford F-150 Raptor R, however, does a little better.

It comes with a supercharged 5.2-liter V8 that puts out 700 horsepower and 640 lb-ft of torque. A 10-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive are standard.

New Features

In addition to that massively powerful engine, the Ford F-150 Raptor R has some other goodies. The transmission comes with a new calibration, as well as an upgraded torque converter.

The driveshaft is also thicker, and the front axle is stronger. Plus, every model is equipped with 37-inch tires for a higher ride height.

Unique Interior

The Ford F-150 Raptor R has a very distinct cabin with carbon-fiber accents throughout. A mix of black leather and microsuede upholstery is standard, as are Recaro front seats. And the “R” on the steering wheel isn’t just for show; it’s a button that allows the driver to immediately access their customized drive mode.
